Textile and fabrics

Worker productivity and safety analytics on the CCTV you already run: time at the workstation, inactivity, idle versus working periods, break duration and fire or safety alerts.

Fabric processing area with a marked zone and workers tracked with posture labels by the VICAS vision system

A fabric unit is spread across processing floors, packaging areas, electrical rooms and break areas, and CCTV cameras already cover most of it. What is usually missing is any automated way to read that footage: how long people actually spend at their stations, who is inactive during a shift, and whether a safety hazard has appeared in a zone nobody is watching.

VICAS™ reads the feeds from your existing IP cameras and NVR, tracks people inside zones you mark on the floor, and raises an incident with an image, the time and the location. Supervisors get one dashboard for live presence, active versus idle hours and safety alerts, plus daily and weekly reports for management review.

What it detects

Workforce productivity and safety

Time at the workstation versus time away

People are tracked inside the zones you mark on each camera, so presence at a designated station and time spent away from it are logged per worker or group. If a second person stays at a station beyond 2 minutes, an incident is raised and stored for later analysis.

Inactivity and sleeping detection

Posture is read for every person in the zone. When someone is found sleeping, an incident is generated immediately with the image, the time and the location, and the inactive state is defined with you before go-live.

Idle versus working periods

Presence and absence at a working station are measured as durations, so idle time and working time are reported for each person and shift instead of being estimated from supervisor rounds.

Break duration tracking

Two cameras at the two sides of a food or tea area door, one for entry and one for exit, log how long people spend on break. Time is tracked per person, or averaged across the group where individual tracking is not practical.

Fire and safety hazard alerts

Fire, smoke and other safety hazards are detected on the same cameras and captured in the dashboard, with the zones and camera locations for alerts agreed with your safety team, electrical rooms included.

See it in action

Workstation zone monitoring

Workers inside a marked fabric-processing zone are tracked with posture labels such as walking and sitting, the data behind presence, idle and active hours.

Electric room zone monitoring

A zone is marked around the electrical panels, and a person entering, working and leaving is tracked with posture and presence.

How it works

01

Use the cameras you already have

IP cameras at 2MP to 5MP with H.265 compression stream over the plant Ethernet network to your NVR. VICAS pulls channel-specific RTSP feeds, so no camera replacement is needed.

02

Mark zones, then train on your footage

Workstation, break and restricted zones are marked per camera, and the models are trained and fine-tuned on videos from your own site rather than generic footage.

03

Incidents with image and 10-second clip

Every incident is stored with its image, time and location and a 10-second clip (5 seconds before and 5 seconds after). It is sent to the on-premise server and used for analytics, reports and role-based access.

04

One dashboard for management

Live presence, active versus idle time, break durations, alert frequency and safety alerts in one view, with daily and weekly reports and shift-wise productivity summaries for review.
